The Three Access Roads
Every Stelvio pilgrimage starts with a choice of line. We know all three — switchbacks, viewpoints, weather windows, and the one café at the top that opens at 08:00.
01 · North Approach
Thirty-six turns out of the spa town of Bormio, through larch woods and into the open scree above 2,400 m. The gentlest grade, the warmest light in the morning, and the side our headquarters has called home since 2006.

02 · East Approach — The Classic
The 48-hairpin side. The photograph on every motorcyclist's mood board, the road Top Gear called the greatest driving road in the Alps. We run it in both directions, often at dawn, almost never in convoy.

Steepest of the three, shortest of the three, and the line the German-speaking guides love. Starts above the hamlet of Trafoi with a view of the Ortler that justifies the whole trip on its own.

For seven months a year, snow walls three storeys high bury the hairpins. The Stelvio National Park authority's crew cuts the road back open over a single weekend in late May or early June, depending on the year's snowfall — and the rest of the European driving calendar reorients around it.
We are the only operator with permits to run convoy ascents during the official opening ceremony itself. A handful of clients join the first cars over the summit, past the snowploughs still finishing the upper cuts, while the first cyclists of the season climb the opposite side. It is, by some distance, the rarest calendar slot in alpine driving.
Each year's opening date is confirmed by the Park in the week prior. We hold two convoy slots for it; both filled in 2024 within nine hours of announcement. If this is the Stelvio you want, write to us in February and we will pencil you in.

01 · Most Booked
One full day, one pass, one of our local guides leading the convoy in a chase car. We handle the hotel pick-up in Bormio, the route briefing, and the lunch reservation at the rifugio halfway up. You drive.
Plan Your Pass Day02 · Motorcycle
Twenty-two Ducati Multistrada and BMW R 1250 GS machines reserved exclusively for our tours. Three-night Bormio base, two full riding days over the pass in both directions, lead-rider escort.

A Note From the Founders
Luca had spent nine winters as a Stelvio National Park ranger, watching the road open each June and close again in November, and watching the same dozen mistakes made by visitors every weekend in between. Giulia had navigated three Mille Miglias and knew that the difference between a good driving trip and a great one is the concierge, not the car.
Eighteen seasons later we are still here — fourteen full-time staff in Bormio, nine seasonal guides, twenty-two motorcycles, and a portfolio of forty-one family-run hotels, rifugi, and design chalets between Bormio, Trafoi, and Santa Maria Val Müstair. We have partnered with the Park on three conservation initiatives since 2019, certified our operations carbon-neutral in 2022, and run the only permitted convoy during the spring opening.
We operate in four languages and serve guests from twenty-seven countries. Ninety-eight point four percent of our 2024 guests rebooked or referred a friend within twelve months. That is the only metric we chase.
